Desulfuration Plant (Stretford process)

  • Print

The plant will be used to desulfurize the raw coke oven gas or other gases. The stretford process is a wet-type desulfuration process. H2S is reduced to a minimum in output gases, the valorization of gas is maximized, the extracted sulfur is used for other purposes after treatment.

Objectives

  • To bring output gases into compliance with regional and international legislation
  • Permit a maximized valorization of gas
  • To attempt to contain Sulfur’s content to a minimum

Stretford Desulfuration Plant

The Stretford process is a wet-type desulfurization process. Primarily aimed at the recovery of Sulfur, Hydrogen Sulfide (H2S) is removed from gas stream.

This process is applicable to any gases: coke oven gas, natural gas, oil refinery gas among others.
